Why We Price the Way We Do
At Deo Fidens, we believe you deserve to know exactly what goes into every wallet we make. No inflated margins, no mystery markups — just honest pricing.
Material Cost Breakdown
Here's a transparent look at what goes into a typical Deo Fidens wallet:

The rate for labor is what I currently make at my job, so I figure if I'm going to use my free time to create a product, it makes sense to do it for what I am currently paid 🤷
For our Vigil wallet, we'll say an average of $18 for the leather, $2 for thread, $1 for the rivets, $2 for the conditioner, $3 for packaging, and 3 hours to make at the current rate of production. That is 18+2+1+2+5+93, a total of $121. I sell this for $119.99.
Some materials may have an associated upcharge that doesn't correlate with the real price of the material, this is due to lower supply/demand.
I might not have the fastest production rate, and you might be looking at the labor cost wondering why it's so high, but compare these wallets to similar competitors' and you'll notice I'm either charging lower, or very similar, and that's for more time actually creating the wallet. I don't have a profit margin I stick to, it's purely how long it takes to craft.
What You're Really Paying For
It's taken a while to get into production on these wallets, I've spent a lot of time and money getting my hands on the proper tools, and the sexiest leather I could find. I figured if I was going to make a business, why skimp.
What you're paying for is a high quality product, crafted with skill, using high quality materials.

Discounts
If you are experiencing financial difficulties and would like a price reduction, I may lower my hourly rate depending on the circumstances. Just send me an email at "deofidensofficial@gmail.com" with the subject "Hardship", and make your case to me. The only stipulation I have is that with a reduced cost, you must also have a bible verse stamped on at my discretion.
If you are active duty or retired military, police, or firefighter, I will also extend a discount. Reach out to me at the above email and make the subject "Hero", just send your associated ID or proof of service over, and I will send you a discounted quote.
If you are a current or former servant of the church, send me an email with the subject "Servant". Describe your role and what church(s) you served, and I will extend a discount.
I reserve the right to deny a discount if I don't believe you, so try to come up with some form of proof. If you are sending me an email just to try and fake your way into a discount, take a look in the mirror.
